Please share a memory of Marcia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marcia K. “Green Thumb” Collier, age 55, of Summit Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by her friends and family at her residence on Friday, May 6, 2016. Although her life was brief, it was full of happiness and adventure. She spent most of her time doing what she loved the most, gardening. She took time to care for her flowers and plants. Another great pleasure were her two cats, Sister and Mikey, which were part of her family she loved so much. Marcia was born on April 8, 1961 in Meadville, the daughter of Grant Collier of Edinboro. She was a graduate of General McLane H.S. and spent most of her working career at Giant Eagle (Peninsula and West 26th Street and Harborcreek stores)) as the florist in the flower department. Besides her father, she is survived by her husband Michael F. Maisner, one brother Brian and his wife Tracy and several nieces and nephews. A service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511. Arrangements were under the direction of the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
