Raymond “Ray” G. Garske, age 94, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Golden Living-Walnut Creek. He was born in Erie on February 23, 1922, the son of the late Leo J. and Marie Ziemer Garske. He was a construction worker for Schaff Development. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, playing cards, and going to the horse races. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys L. Fullerton Garske in 2012 and one brother Leo Garske. He is survived by one son Raymond Daniel Garske (Lori) of Millcreek Twp., one granddaughter Nicole L. Garske Wynne (Robert) of Millcreek Twp., one great- granddaughter Natalya Lee Ann Wynne, one great- grandson Ivan Joseph Wynne, one brother Edward Garske of FL, close family friends Paul “Tom” and Peggy Bowser of Millcreek Twp., and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and are invited there on Monday, May 16, 2016 for the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Private interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Foundation Fighting Blindness, 7168 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite 100, Columbia, MD 21046 or to AseraCare Hospice, 1600 Peninsula Dr., Suite 14, Erie, PA 16505.
