Richard Earl Jackson, age 97, of Lake City, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. He was born on September 4, 1918, the son of the late Earl V. and Mabel O. Taylor Jackson. He was a Master carpenter until his retirement and then went into the antique and clock repair business. He enjoyed collecting stamps, fishing, square dancing, and watching Lawrence Welk. He was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, two infant twin sons, one son Richard Jackson, and one daughter Betty Smith. He is survived by his beloved wife of 77 years Betty J. Auer Jackson, one daughter Joan M. Martin (Robert) of Lake City, nine grandchildren, many great, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. May God open the Gates of Heaven wide for him to enter to join his loved ones. He’ll be deeply missed by many family and friends who loved him. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. and are invited there on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service. Interment Sterrettania Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508 or to Erie Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
