Obituary of Christopher M. Shilling

Christopher M. “Shark” Shilling, age 44, of Millcreek Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on February 27, 1972 in Erie, the son of the late George Shilling and Lorraine and Richard Randolph. Chris graduated from McDowell H.S. in 1991 and attended Erie Tech School. He was employed at Gallagher Plumbing and A & G Property Maintenance. He was an avid dart player and was on many Erie Dart League teams. He was a member of Sacred Heart Ushers Society, was a Steelers fan, and enjoyed watching movies and playing video games with his kids. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Jennifer Dickey Shilling. Chris is survived by six children: Damian Gilland of OK, Mikael Shilling of Erie, Blake Gilland of Co Springs, CO, Aerika Shilling of Honolulu, HI, Lexi McKinney (Garrett, Sr.) of Kane, PA, Braeden Shilling of Millcreek Twp., his dog, Nipsey, one grandson Garrett McKinney, Jr., two sisters; Roberta Wellington (Timothy) of Millcreek, Samantha Lafon of Columbus, OH, two brothers; James Randolph (Jenn) of Millcreek, Jared Shilling of Millcreek, his girlfriend Toni Royer, and other extended family members and friends. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6:00 until time of Memorial Service at 8:00 p.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
