Mary Alice Baer, 94 passed away peacefully Saturday, October 1, 2016. She was born in Mercer, Pennsylvania, March 6, 1922. Mary was the daughter of the late George and Alice Fox. In her early years, she practiced as a dietician, and later worked for the preschool at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Along with baking, crafting, and knitting, Mary loved being around family, and working outside in her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel C. Baer, daughter Kathy J. Dearbeck, sister Helen Christie, and brother Wilbur Fox.
Survivors include her daughter, Patti Delaney; son-in-law Gary Dearbeck, and grandchildren; Robert Dearbeck, Eric Dearbeck, Abbey Delaney, and Daniel Delaney.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, 16504 on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2:30 PM. Interment will take place in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Patchwork of Love group, 3108 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16506, or the charity of one’s choice.
