Obituary of Janet C. Proctor

Janet C. Proctor age 80 of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Saturday October 1, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. She was born in Bradford, PA on October 12, 1935 a daughter of the late Isaac R. and Beatrice Goodrich Collins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Edwards Collins and his wife Grace. Janet worked at Manufactures Light and Heat in Bradford and later worked at the Pennsylvania Gas Co. before starting her family. She was a longtime member of Weis Library United Methodist Church, where she was active in the women’s ministry and also a prayer chain coordinator. She was also a member of the Presque Isle Women’s Club, the vice president of the Pleasant Ridge Manor Residence Council and a first mate of the S.P.E.B.S.Q.U.A which was the Millfare Four barbershop quartet. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard E. Proctor; sisters, Audrey (Tom) Legge and Joyce (Marshall) Collins Hudson; her son, Douglas R. Proctor; her daughter, Jill P. (Richard) McGee; their children, Andrea, Amy and Joshua and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Weis Library United Methodist Church 6020 Heidler Rd. Fairview, PA 16415 on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Weis Library Church Cemetery.
