Antonio “Tony” A. Botelho, age 69, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 in Pittsburgh. He was born in Portugal on March 27, 1947, the son of the late Antonio and Maria Botelho. Tony became a US citizen in 1975. He was retired from Erie GE as an assembler after twenty years of employment and then worked part-time at local restaurants including the Cracker Barrel, and volunteered working at his home church, First Assembly of God as a custodian and usher. He saw church as his second home. Tony was passionate about music and loved to play the organ at home and the piano at church while he was alone. He felt his greatest joy was singing and playing his organ hymns to his Savior. Tony had an interest in Bible prophesy and loved being with people and was great at kidding with his smile and twinkle in his eyes under those “bushy” eyebrows. He also enjoyed roller skating and once was a possible candidate for the Olympics. Tony was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone and was very generous. He is survived by two sons; Christopher Botelho of Albion, Drew Botelho of Millcreek Twp., his good friends Bob and Elise Sesler and Rev. Don Fisher along with his church family. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Friends may call at the First Assembly of God, 8150 Oliver Rd., Erie, PA 16509 on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service there at 1:00 p.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home or to First Assembly of God.
