David L. Chaffee age 63 of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Friday February 3, 2017. He was born in Erie on January 23, 1954 a son of Patricia A. Robie Chaffee and the late Leonard F. Chaffee.
Dave graduated from Cathedral Prep. He retired from Erie Insurance Exchange after over 40 years of service, where he worked in the Corporate Claims Department. Dave loved spending time with his grandson Dylan and enjoyed golfing, going to the casino and horseracing.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his son, David M. Chaffee, who was his greatest joy and he was very proud of; grandson, Dylan Chaffee; two brothers, Doug (Elaine) Chaffee and Craig Chaffee and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and are invited to a prayer service there on Wednesday morning at 9:15 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
