Elmer Harry Volkman
Elmer Harry Volkman, age 86, of Millcreek Twp., passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. He was born in Millcreek Twp. on December 16, 1930, the son of the late Harry J. and Laura M. Volkman. Elmer was an Air Force Veteran and long - time employee of McCullough Chainsaw Corp. in Fountain Hills, AZ. Since returning to Erie in 1989, he was an active member of the Fairview Senior Center. He left behind his wife of 50 years, Eugenia Brown Volkman, three sons: Robert S. Volkman of Coral Gables, FL, Alan H. Volkman of Erie, and Dana A. Volkman (Kim) of Edinboro. Nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Elmer is the brother of Mrs. William (Evelyn) Adams (Edinboro) and Mrs. Joseph (Audrey) Bauer (Cambridge Springs. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Virginia Volkman, Mrs. Roy (Jeanette) Knight, and Mrs. William (Velma) Toth.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Private interment.
