Robert L. Sitter, II Robert L. Sitter II, age 60, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at UPMC-Hamot. He was born in Erie, PA on December 31, 1956, the son of Margaret Jones Sitter (Gainesville, GA) and the late Robert L. Sitter I. Robert was a graduate of McDowell H.S. and the Denver Automotive and Diesel College. He was employed at GE for almost 30 years. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed cars, playing the guitar, rifle shooting and working on engines both at work and at home. He was an avid man of faith and devoted father. Besides his mother, he is survived by two sons; Robert L. Sitter, III. (Fiancée Chelsea Howe) of Washington, D.C., Nicholas K. Sitter of Charleston, S.C. (stationed), two sisters; Melinda Gottfried (Steven) of Gainesville, GA, Jennifer Turner of Tacoma, WA, one brother James Sitter (Debbie) of Gainesville, GA, his former wife Patricia Sitter of Millcreek, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 12:00 Noon until 2 p.m. and 7:00 until 9 p.m. Further services and burial will take place in Gainesville, GA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may Be made to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (umcor.org).
