John C. Kadlup

 

 

John C. Kadlup, age 61, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his loving family and friends; after a four-month battle with cancer. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 7, 1956, the son of Shirley Bracco McFayden of Albion and the late John Kadlup, Jr.

John was a 1986 graduate of Edinboro University and was currently employed at Erie Insurance for 31 years in the Claims Division.  He was a member of the Elks Club and was a life-time member of the Albion Fire Dept. where he was an EMT and Captain of the Ambulance Crew.

He enjoyed golf, traveling; especially last fall’s dream trip to Europe, was a craft beer connoisseur and was an avid Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Sabres fan.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years Judy M. Beerbower Kadlup, two sons Robert Weisenbach of Millcreek, Bradley Weisenbach (Lisa) of Millcreek, one brother Richard Kadlup of Saudi Arabia, five grandchildren: Nicole Davis (James), Cameron Orzechowski (Amanda), Parker Orzechowski, Hunter and Nolan Weisenbach, one great grandchild on the way, best friend Mark Christ (Brenda), other extended family members, and his beloved grandpuppy Sophie.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 until time of Funeral Service there at 8:00 p.m.  Private interment.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Albion Fire Dept., 19 Smock Ave., Albion, PA 16401 or to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508.
