Obituary of Charles N. Fenner

Charles “Chuck” N. Fenner, age 83 of McKean Twp., passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday October 14, 2017 at UPMC-Hamot Hospital, following a brief illness.  He was born In Erie on June 17, 1934, a son of the late Oscar and Clara Northrup Fenner.

 

Chuck graduated from Waterford Academy.  He was a very loyal employee for Automation Devices for 41 years as a machinist supervisor.  Chuck was a kind and loving man and was known for his quick wit, humor and was a friend to all.  He was a member and usher at Westminster Presbyterian Church and a lifelong member of the St. Francis Usher’s Club in McKean.  He was an avid bowler and golfer, and enjoyed traveling and a good game of cards.      

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellie Johnson Fenner; daughter, Tracey Fenner; son, Scott Fenner; step-son, Thomas W. Stull Jr. and his siblings Clifford, George, Morrie and Richard Fenner, Mary Lou Pildner and Jane Covell.

 

He is survived by his wife and soulmate of over 20 years, Mildred “Millie” McCaslin Fenner; daughter, Jeanne Fenner Maurice of New Jersey; son, Stephen Charles (Michele) Fenner of Girard; step-daughter, Sheryl I. (Rick) Bawol of Erie; eight grandchildren, Eric, Rachel, Ashley, Christopher, Michael, Joseph, Thomas and Jessica, 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Page of Erie and Lynetta (Jack) Pildner of Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.       

 

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM and are invited to the funeral service there on Tuesday Morning at 10:00 AM with Rev. Stephen Morse officiating.  Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
