Claude Robert Allinger Sr., age 83 of Erie, passed away at his home on Sunday November 26, 2017.  He was born in DuBois, PA, a son of the late William and Annie Bliss Allinger.

 

Claude proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He retired from Lakeshore Markers where he was a mold maker.  Claude loved to be in nature and enjoyed, hunting, fishing and camping.  He was a former member of the VFW and American Legion.

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxcine Shields and Beatrice Snyder; two brothers, James Wesley Allinger and William E. Allinger; and his daughter Donna Rose Allinger and his grandson, Marcus Allan Allinger.

 

He is survived by his son, Claude Robert Allinger Jr. and his wife Cathy of McKean, PA; daughter, Sandy Hughes of Punxsutawney, PA; granddaughter, Crissa DeLucia of Erie; two sisters, Virginia Ferreire of Massachusetts and Christine Trott of Erie.  Claude is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  

 

Arrangements were private and under the care of the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16506.
