Mary Ellen Stratton Lomax

 

Mary Ellen Stratton Lomax, age 49, of Channelview, TX, formerly of Erie, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Bayshore Med. Ctr. in Pasadena, TX.

She was born in Erie on January 16, 1968, the daughter of Elizabeth Stratton Dautrich (Elwood) of Erie and the late Robert M. Stratton. Mary Ellen was employed at EHCA and the Post Office in Erie and recently was a Home Health Care provider in TX. She belonged to Gethsemane Baptist Church in TX.

She loved helping people and feeding the homeless.

She is survived by her former husband Russell Lomax, Jr., two sons; Eric and Branden Lomax, of Erie, two step-sons; Damyon and Dante, two step-daughters; Dominique and Atyshia, three brothers; Robert, Charles, Jim, three sisters; Betty Ann, Marie, Lou Ann, and her life partner Andrea Jackson of TX, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 12:00 Noon until time of sharing at 2:00 p.m.  Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
