Ronald “Ron” A. Cline

 

Ronald “Ron” A. Cline, age 59 of Millcreek Twp., formerly of Waterford, passed away after an extended illness on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Erie on October 12, 1958, the son of the late Eugene and Wilma Sherwood Cline. Ron was a graduate of Ft. LeBoeuf H.S. and lettered in football, basketball, and baseball and was a football player of the past honoree. He was employed for 28 years at Corry Rubber Corp. in shipping and receiving until his retirement.

He loved going to sporting events; specially to watch his grandson’s games.  He was preceded in death by one uncle, one aunt, and one cousin.

Ron is survived by his daughter Holly M. Cline (Randy) of Erie, his son Christopher L. Cline (Jaclyn) of Millcreek, three grandchildren: Jacob, Avery, and Cameron, two sisters; Debbie Nearhoof (John) of Albion, Darlene Cline of Erie, two brothers; Dave Cline (Becky) of FL, Brad Cline of Erie, his former wife and friend Judy Cline of Waterford, and several nieces and nephews. Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie, PA 16506.
