Obituary of Eleanor Kocher

Eleanor Mutch Kocher Eleanor Mutch Kocher, age 80, of Erie, died Sunday, March 18 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born in Erie on September 28, 1926 the daughter of the late Leonard and Laura Mutch. She was a life-long Erie resident. She was a member of the American Legion, Carl Neff Post and the Kearsarge Church of God. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting, reading, embroidering, and collecting pins. She is survived by her former husband, Laurence F. Kocher, three daughters: Martha Kocher and Lucille Mook of Erie, Goldie Kocher of Wichita Falls, Texas, two sons, Lawrence and Timothy Kocher of Erie. Also surviving are one sister, Martha Mutch of Erie, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Four brothers preceded her in death: Leonard, Paul, Andrew, and George Mutch and two sisters, Carmella Fredericks and Lucy Shoaf. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to the funeral service on Friday at Kearsarge Church of God, officiated by the Rev. Mark Eberly at 10:00 a.m. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
