James T. Polk James "Jim" T. Polk, age 61, died at his Millcreek Twp. residence on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Detroit, MI on May 4, 1949, the son of the late, Alton F. and Gabrielle Robert Polk. He was employed at ABF Trucking. Jim enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and racing. He was a member of the Moose and Eagles Clubs and the Teamsters. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne C. Gogola Polk, three daughters: Kim Reid (Mike) of Millcreek, Wendy Evans (Rob) of Warren, MI, Michelle Carlson (Tim) of Millcreek, eleven grandchildren, two brothers; John Polk (Laura) of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Alton Polk (Chris) of Eastpointe, MI, one sister-in-law, Diane Polk, of Centerline, MI, three sisters: Claire Greene (Kevin) of St. Claire Shores, MI, Ann Pasque (Joe) of Warren, MI, and Thearse Graffe (Frank) of St. Claire Shores, MI. He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Polk. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 until time of funeral service there at 8:00 p.m. Private interment.
