Obituary of Louis Max Straitwell, Sr.

Louis Max Straitwell, Sr. age 82, of Espyville, PA, passed away on June 14, 2021 at Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born on June 27, 1938 in Punxsutawney, PA a son of the late Wesley P. and Minnie L. (Stahlman) Straitwell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois J. (Kroh) Straitwell and two sons Louis Max Straitwell Jr. and John Lewkowicz. Louis proudly served his country in the US Navy for six years and retired from the Plastek Co. He was a very active member of the Andover Church and loved gospel music. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia (Weston) Lewkowicz Straitwell; four daughters, Tammy (Herman) Perrin, Melissa Straitwell, Tina (Albert M.) Rensel and Elizabeth Irwin; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Jonathon) Kenny, Andrew Irwin and Carolyn Klein; and one brother, Leonard W. (Mary) Straitwell. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16506 on Thursday (TODAY) from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Graveside services will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o the funeral home.
