Obituary of Adeline Geiger Shewan

Adeline Geiger Shewan, 97, passed away on Wednesday June 16, 2021 at her residence at Walnut Crossing in Marysville, OH. She was born in Erie on March 13, 1924 the daughter of Charles Geiger & Anna Buhl Geiger Brown.
Adeline graduated from Academy High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother to her family, and was always there when anyone needed her help.
Adeline is survived by three children: Judith (Dennis) Vogel of Great Falls, MT, Geraldine Woomer of Lake City, and Thomas (Ivette) Shewan of Marysville, OH; one sister Lenora Brown (Norman) Snowden of Paso Roble, CA, sister-in-law Nancy Fertig of Venice, FL., 12 granddaughters, 17 great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 78 years, Gerald; one son Richard W. Shewan II, daughter-in-law Patricia Shewan, sisters Marion Geiger, Henrietta (Geiger) Piano and Winifred (Geiger) Rockey of Erie, brothers Clemens Geiger of Erie, Theodore Brown of Missouri, infant brother Joseph Brown, sister-in-law Mary Louise Shewan and many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed working alongside her husband, Gerald, doing woodworking and remodeling, gardening, reading, sewing and swimming exercise at the Villa.
Family and Friends may call at Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday June 20, 2021 from 1pm to 4 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church at 1:15 on Monday June 21, 2021. Burial services will be private in Calvary Cemetery. Granddaughters will serve as pallbearers.
