Sheri Taylor Gibbs



Sheri (Taylor) Gibbs, age 62, passed away unexpectedly at home following a brief illness with her husband by her side on Monday, September 23, 2024. She grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota raised by her adoptive parents, Donald and Caroline Taylor, both deceased. She attended University of Southern Alabama before moving to Erie. She worked for the County of Erie and retired in 2018.


She is survived by her loving husband Brian. They were married 28 years and just recently celebrated their anniversary. They enjoyed going to FL in the winter to visit family and friends. She loved playing with their dog, watching movies and enjoyed exercising at home, and working out at the gym.


She is also survived by her mother, Joanie Mahanke (Jerry) of Scottsdale AZ, her sister, Tami Polenz (Kent) of Dallas TX, and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Interment will be in Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery, 6000 Lake Pleasant Rd. in Erie. Family and friends are invited to meet at the mausoleum on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11am for a prayer service and entombment.
