Evelyn Carol Albrittain Freeman
Carol Freeman, age 73, of Erie, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 12, 2025, after a courageous fight against cancer.
She was born on January 10, 1952, in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late George R. and Grace O. Yates Albrittain.
Carol was a stay-at-home mom and dog mom and volunteered within the community.
Carol volunteered with the Mercyhurst Prep Feed the Hungry (2013-2017), she was an Elder at the Elmwood Ave. Presbyterian Church and also a Youth Group volunteer at the church.
Carol loved to sew, create miniatures, travel, cook, shop, giving back by volunteering for the community, watching a good TV show, going to church, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years Samuel Richard Freeman, her children; Angela Fenwick, Carol Plater, Grace Feick, Corrine Freeman, Brook Nowacinski, Blair Feeman (Geoff), and her “7th” Khila Freeman (Austin). She is also survived by her sisters; Barbara Neitzey (Matt), Mary Noel (William), her brothers; George Albrittain (Judy), Joseph Albrittain (Jan), Robert Albrittain, and Thomas Albrittain,
Carol was a Mom, Momma, Gigi, Granny, or Grandma to 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
All arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
