Patricia Dooher Dombrowski
An incredible mother, a loving grandmother, a devoted wife, a faithful servant of God, and a loyal friend to many. This was our mother Patricia “Pat” Dombrowski, she was precious, she was unique and it is with the deepest sadness that we share the news of her peaceful passing on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the age of 95.
Our mother was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on October 15, 1929 and was the oldest child of the late Marion Allen Rickett and Leo J. Dooher. She spent the majority of her life in Erie, Pa moving away later in her life to Mechanicsburg, Pa to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
Our mom loved life; it was palpable. The twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes and her incredible sense of humor never diminished, even as her memory began to fade in later years. She loved her hometown of Erie, her favorite place being anywhere on Presque Isle. She adored Romolo’s chocolates, eating Moose Tracks ice cream and playing pinochle with her family. Our mom was a very classy woman, she took pride in her appearance always tending to her hair and make-up so she could be, in her own words, “as cute as I can be.”
Our mother’s greatest legacy and love was her family. She was married to our late father Casimir Dombrowski for 41 years. She is survived by her three children Dennis Dombrowski ( Tammy Dombrowski) Chuck Dombrowski and Marybeth Dombrowski-Mann (Daniel Mann), grandchildren Dr. Dennis Dombrowski ( Maria Dombrowski) , Cassie Horell ( John Horell) , Sydney Taylor ( Andrew Taylor), Ryan Ross, Maria Ross, Ben Mann ( Lio Mann), Emily Mann-Shah ( Leo Shah), Abigal Mann and Amanda Ross, who proceeded her in death in 2021, several great grandchildren Adison Horell, Violet Dombrowski, Benjamin Ross, Emmy Horell, Weston Ross, Rhett Ross, Ellie Ross, Willow Ross, Clover Dombrowski, Ruby Shah and Archie Taylor. Our mother found love and happiness again late in life at the tender age of 80 and married for the second time to Robert Babo until his death in 2016.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 3 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 7 pm. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
