Lynette Ann Johnston Lynette Ann Feidler Johnston, age 84, of Millcreek, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at her home after a short illness. Lynn, as she was known, was born on October 10, 1940 in Erie, PA, the daughter of Juliana Machuga Feidler and Harold Burrill Feidler. After graduating from Academy High School, Lynn married her husband of 45 years, Howard “Jack” Johnston, with whom she created a warm family home and raised their four children and her many beloved dogs …quite possibly her favorite children! She enjoyed their weekend camping trips in the woods and vacations exploring the US and Canada. First and foremost a mom and wife, she also worked in banking for many years at First National Bank of PA. When not planting and tending to her magazine-worthy flower gardens and waterfall, she volunteered with Great Lakes Hospice and the Erie VA Medical Center. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2004. She devoted that piece of her life to being his primary caregiver through a lengthy battle with cancer. Seventeen years ago, Lynn was blessed to meet again an old friend from her teenage years, Kenneth Yoder of Corry. It was soon clear that Lynn and Ken shared a very special love and would thereafter be inseparable. It was with Ken’s companionship, unwavering love and caregiving during the most difficult of times, and their shared sense of playfulness that we saw our mom the happiest. In addition to Ken Yoder, she is survived by a brother, Daniel Feidler (Claudia), and by her four children: Beth O’Hern (John), Cheri Stowe (Jeff), John Johnston (Roxanne) and Jennifer Blakely (Rick). She was also blessed to have been loved by 8 grandchildren: Ian Stowe (Caity); Shawn O’Hern; Brittany Stowe (Andy); Devon Gortz (Andrew), Kristin Lazarra (Greg), Sierra Johnston, Alexia Johnston and Addison Blakely, as well as 8 great-grandchildren: Calvin, Ira and Violet, Addy and Spencer, Ethan and Sophie, and Logan. Private arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. We would like to thank the caregivers of Interim Hospice. A private memorial will be held at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Erie Humane Society.
