Obituary of Terri Cousins

Terri Cousins Terri Cousins, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) Cousins, after 60 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her son, Scott Cousins, her sisters; Mary (Leo) Slomski, Dorothy (John) Czaika, and Agnes (Leonard) Tillerson, her brothers; Eugene (Carolyn) Borawski, Walter (Loretta) Borawski, and Joseph Borawski. Also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law James and Peggy Cousins. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Louise Borawski. Terri is lovingly remembered by her son, Bryan (Cathy) Cousins, her daughter, Jacquelyn (Jay) Saur, and her daughter-in-law, Patty Cousins. She was a proud Nana to six grandchildren: Courtney (Nick) Johnson, Kyle Cousins, Nikole Saur, Alexis Saur, Samantha Saur, and Stephanie (Chad) French, as well as five great-grandchildren: Addi, Avery, Libby, Nolan, and Cora and many nieces and nephews. Terri had an exciting career as the secretary to three Erie mayors before retiring from the County Controller’s Office at the Erie Courthouse. She enjoyed duckpin bowling at the Erie Maennerchor Club and golfing at Lawrence Park Golf Club. Terri and Jack cherished many wonderful years as snowbirds at Six Lakes Country Club in Fort Myers, FL, where they enjoyed golf and sunshine, while spending summers in Erie surrounded by their children and grandchildren. Terri’s vibrant spirit and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at 10am on Friday, March 28, 2025 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 8880 West Main Street, McKean, PA 16426. Inurnment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
