Obituary of Lawrence "Larry" E. Gilchrist

Lawrence “Larry” Edward” Gilchrist Lawrence “Larry” E. Gilchrist, age 68, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025. He was born on October 31, 1956, in New Brighton, PA, the son of the late Arthur and Doris Gilchrist. He was employed at Midas Muffler and Brakes as a Master Mechanic and the Erie Times Newspaper. He was a member of McLane Church and enjoyed fixing vehicles, bicycles, and lawn mowers, collecting die cast cars, hunting, and his dogs, Rocky and Joe. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Donna Gilchrist. He is survived by his wife Carol A. Zill Gilchrist, his children: Lawrence Arthur John Gilchrist (Vickie), Paul Edward Arthur Gilchrist (Kimberly), Jennifer Ann Arndt (Jim), 3 brothers; Robert Gilchrist (Paula), Ronnie Gilchrist (Anita), Regis Gilchrist, his grandchildren: Alexandra, Elizabeth, Kathryn, Levi, Rosalie, Analice, Trinity, Kennedy, Aliyah, Matthew, and several niece and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 4 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 7 pm. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home or to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
