Karen Ann Krugger Karen Ann Krugger, a lifelong resident of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on August 26, 1948, to the late Angeline and Walter Bennetti, Karen's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and a warm, welcoming spirit. Karen’s story began at Bennetti's Rendezvous, her parents' restaurant, where a 15-year-old Karen met the love of her life, George Krugger. Their connection was instant, and their love story unfolded over the next 55 years of marriage, a beautiful example of enduring devotion. Together, they built a life centered around family, creating cherished memories and a legacy of love. Karen dedicated her career to caring for others as an administrator at an assisted living facility. Her compassionate nature and genuine concern for those around her shone brightly in both her professional and personal life. Beyond her career, Karen’s greatest accomplishment was undoubtedly her family. She poured her heart into nurturing her sons, Jamie (Missy) and Scott (Margo), and reveled in the joys of being a grandmother to Giana, Mia, and Ella. Supporting her grandchildren in their activities brought her immense happiness, and she was a constant source of encouragement and love in their lives. Karen lived a full and active life. She was a regular at the gym with her friends, demonstrating her commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Summers were spent by the pool, surrounded by the laughter and love of her family, creating treasured moments that will be forever held in their hearts. Always kind and caring, Karen’s warm personality and ever-present smile brought joy to everyone she encountered. She consistently put the needs of others before her own, a reflection of her selfless and generous spirit. Karen is survived by her loving husband, George; her sons, Jamie and Scott, and their wives; her cherished granddaughters, Mia, Giana, and Ella; her niece, Jordyn, to whom she was especially close; her sister, Debbie McCollim (Don); and her brother, Arthur Bennetti (Sandy). She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Jim Bennetti, and her sister Delores Figurski.
