Lorie J. Hawthorne

Lorie J. Hawthorne, age 64, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, in her hometown of Erie, PA. She was born on January 26, 1961.

Lorie was always dependable and loved to give a helping hand to whomever needed it.

She spent most of her life on Lancaster Rd. in Millcreek Twp. where she grew up and later raised her own family. She was a McDowell H.S. graduate and dedicated 21 years to Blair Dept. Store. Her hobbies were gardening, playing BINGO, purchasing lottery tickets, and bird watching.

Her love for these activities only paralleled her commitment to her family and friends.

She is survived by her children: William L. Beach (Sara), Kimberly R. Beach, her grandchildren: Jaiden, Ciana, and Phoenix.

Lorie also leaves behind her siblings; Cindy Kendziora (John), Denise Hickin (Dennis), Allen Hawthorne (Cindy), Dennis, William, and Ed Hawthorne.

She was preceded in death by her long-time partner of 32 years, Roy “Bill” Beach in 2020, her parents Harry L. and Audry (Brown) Hawthorne, and her brother Harry Hawthorne.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. She will be missed by all who knew her.
