Robert Eugene Bair
Robert “Bob” Bair was born on May 28, 1933, the eldest son of the late Clarence and Florence Bair in Indiana County, PA. Bob enjoyed the rural outdoors and especially the camaraderie of the Bair and Bash cousins, aunts, and uncles who he grew up with. Many family reunions were held on a 10-acre parcel of his grandfather’s farm which Bob purchased to nurture and preserve cherished family relationships.
Bob passed from this life to the arms of his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 11, 2025. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Bair. Surviving him are his loving wife of 56 years, Marlene Ruth Bair, sister-in-law Freda Bair, his daughter Charlyn “Sheri” Welsh (Jim), his granddaughters; Jill Draszkiewicz (Rich), Joy Tekotte (Jason), Jaclyn Collopy (Jack), his grandson Geoff Welsh and six great-grandchildren: Eliah, Jake, Lauren, Stella, Rylee, and Leo, and many treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bob is remembered as an educator in both secondary and post-secondary settings across PA, where his focus was business education and the success of his students. Leisure activities included; photography, amateur radio communication (call letters WA3HDK), and traveling via his motorhome with Marlene and fur baby, Fluffy. Bob also proudly served his country in the US Army.
The family is invited to the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. at 10 am on Monday, August 18, 2025 and friends may join them at 11 am. A Funeral Service with the Rev. Edward Huntley officiating will follow at 12 Noon.
Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery, Cranesville, PA.
