Cheryl Lynn (Dinges) Woerner

Cheryl Woerner, age 67, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, after a hard- fought battle with cancer. She was born in Erie, PA on January 22, 1958 to the late Robert Dinges & Juanita (Irwin Dinges) Staaf and graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1975.

Cheryl worked for Erie Ceramic Arts for over 35 years before leaving to work at Heatron from where she retired. When she wasn't working you could find her most days sitting on her porch entertaining visitors. She was forever ready for a cup of tea and a chat with anyone who decided to stop by.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, as well as a sister, Linda Dinges. She leaves behind her husband of 34 years, Harold, her two beloved daughters, Abby Dinges Karns (Scott), and Emma Woerner, her granddaughters, Harley, Lucy, and Olive, who she loved dearly; her siblings: Gary Dinges (Shiela), Judith Dinges, Erica Long (Craig), and Kaye Long (Brad), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Some losses are felt for generations, and like her mother before her, Cheryl's is one of those losses. In Cheryl's honor we request you take some time to sit and enjoy time with family/friends, grab a cup of tea, and maybe have a dance party in your living room. Sometimes to make a lasting impact it only takes having an open door.

Visiting hours will be at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 4pm until 7pm. Private Interment.
