Elizabeth “Beth” Anne Barnes

Elizabeth “Beth” Anne Ward Barnes, age 89, of McKean Twp., passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at St. Mary’s at Asbury Ridge. She was born in Cambridgeshire, England on September 21, 1936, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Edith Ward.

She had been employed at Loblaws Super Market in both Erie and Meadville.

She was a member of the Vernon Central Hose Co. Auxiliary in Meadville, St. John the Baptist Church in Erie, St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church in Meadville, and enjoyed RVing and travelling.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas “Tom” Barnes (married 57 years) and two brothers; John and Frank Ward.

She is survived by three children: Patrick A. Barnes (Marilynn) of Rigby, Idaho, Frank J. Barnes (Lesa) of McKean Twp., Larry J. Barnes (Connie) of Thomasville, NC, her grandchildren: Joshua, Johnathon (Lynne), Janet Barnes McMillion (Austin), her great-grandchildren: Lexxi (Shawn), Cheyenne (Ron), Rylee, Tyler, and Kandace.

Private arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
