Annette Piazza McElroy Wise

Annette Wise, age 84, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at St. Mary’s at Asbury Ridge.

She was born in Cleveland, OH on February 27, 1941, the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Liotta Piazza.

She was a resident of Edinboro, PA and then moved to Erie in 2009.

She retired from the Penncrest School District after teaching from 1975-2004.

She was a member of the Erie Bridge Club, enjoyed traveling with family and friends, tennis, and dancing.

Annette is survived by her children; Scott McElroy (Prudence) of WI, Elise Graham of McKean, Michelle Wilkins (Dennis) of OH and SC, her sisters: Rosette Clark (Doug) of OK, Loretta Robertson (Ralph) of OH, Marilyn Sweyer (John) of OH, her grandchildren: Jamie Ellis (Jonathan), Caitlin Reeder (John), Aidan Graham, Olivia Graham (Christian Kirchner), Kobi McElroy, Maija McElroy, two great-grandchildren; Logan and Leon Ellis.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 2 pm until a time of remembrance at 4 pm with further visitation until 6 pm.

Private interment.
