Dear Cynthia, Amanda, Kristen, and Vicky - I was deeply saddened to hear of Matt’s unexpected passing in late January. Although time and life took us on different paths, Matt was once a very meaningful part of my life, and I will always carry memories of him with warmth and respect. I remember his kindness, generosity, his uniquely-witty sense of humor, and how every day involved me learning “at least 1 useless fact” - as he would so often say (even though they always seemed to turn out to not be so “useless” after all…). Those qualities left a lasting impression on me, and I know they touched so many others as well. Please know that my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
