Denise A. Fulton

Denise Ann Fulton, age 73, of McKean Twp., passed away at UPMC-Hamot on Thursday, February 12, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with many health issues over the past 8 years. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 1, 1952, to the late Helen and James Wagner. Denise met the love of her life in 1977 at her sister’s wedding in Pittsburgh and got married in 1978 and moved to Erie, then to McKean, PA in 1982.

She was a loving person to all those who knew her. She was a wonderful cook (well known for her homemade pizza) and loved sharing it with everyone.

When she could no longer cook, she would instruct her husband on how to cook her way.

In her younger years, she loved to go out dancing with all her friends and husband.

She enjoyed going to Rhode Island every summer for clam bakes with family and friends. She enjoyed going to FL every year and her vacations to Alaska and other cruises. She enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie every summer and having family get togethers at home and at the family camp in Forest County.

Denise loved Jesus and her favorite verse was Phil 4:13 (I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me).

She was the glue that always held the family together.

She is survived by her beloved husband Bill Fulton, daughters: Lisa Myers (Mark), Sheryl Stempka (Mike) and her step daughter Ann Fulton (Keven), 8 grandchildren: Cory (Lauren), Tyler, Cody, Jessi, Henri (Erika), Riley (Dominique), Katlyn (Terri), and Logan, two great grandchildren; Maggie and Adam, three siblings: Dorothy, Darline, and Richard, and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and family.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, step-daughter, Tracy Fulton, and six siblings.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the doctors and staff at LECOM, UPMC-Hamot, and the Cancer Center. A special thanks to the primary care doctors; Doctor G. and Doctor K.

Friends and family are invited for a service at a later date at the Fulton Family Cemetery in Forest County.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 5 pm until the time of a Memorial Service at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
