Lucian Joseph, Jr. “Butch” Nucerino

Lucian Joseph, Jr. “Butch” Nucerino, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 22, 2026. He was born in Erie, on September 23, 1942, to the late Lucian and Rose Nucerino.

Butch was a dedicated union plasterer who began working in the trade at the age of 18 and continued until his retirement at age 62. He took great pride in his craft and the many homes and buildings throughout the community which reflected his hard work and skill. Known for his strong work ethic, Butch spent his life providing for and supporting his family.

He was also honorably discharged after serving his country in the Army Reserves.

Butch enjoyed spending time outdoors and in his community. He was a Little League coach and enjoyed boating and bowling; activities which brought him great joy and allowed him to build lasting memories with family and friends.

Butch was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who cherished time spent with his family. He is survived by his three children: Timothy Nucerino and his daughter Mallory, Christopher Nucerino (Casey) and their sons; Anthony and Jack, JD and Erin Callahan (Jeff) and their children; Jordan and Devin.

He is also survived by his brothers; Donald Nucerino (Maryann) and Ronald Nucerino (Ruth).

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his two loving sisters; Ann and Rosalie.

Butch will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hardworking spirit, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to those who knew him.

A Memorial committal service and inurnment will be held in the Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 6248 W. Lake Rd, Erie, PA 16505 on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11 am. Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. handled all the arrangements.
