Edith Konnerth
Edith L. Elliott Konnerth, age 99, of Erie, PA, died in Erie on Thursday April 23, 2026, after a brief illness. She was born on February 28, 1927 in Erie, a daughter of the late Raymond and Maxine (Elliott) Howard. She was married to the late Harold Konnerth for 73 years. She resided in Erie her entire life. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant where she volunteered and served as a deacon and elder. Recently, she had been attending the Delaware Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities, playing cards, reading, knitting, and doing puzzles. She had one sister, the late Beverly “Jean” (Elliott) Groves. She is survived by her children: Arthur Konnerth (Karlita) of Valrico, Fl., Susan Tassone Weber (Duane) of Waterford, PA. and Barbara Kuch (Ed) of Erie. She has 4 grandchildren: Matthew Waters, Emily Richardson, Rebecca Kisgen, and Rachel Jackson, and 9 great-grandchildren: Sophie and Lily Kisgen, Avery and Ryder Jackson, Vince and Emma Waters, Mya, Lee (Buddy) III, and Theo Richardson. She is also survived by a cousin, Sharon (Elliott) Patterson, two nieces; Sally Groves and Kathy Dunlap, and a nephew Jim Konnerth. Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie. Family will receive visitors on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 4 - 8:00 pm and on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 11:00 am - 12:00 noon. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Chris Reitsma presiding. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ANNA Shelter, Erie, PA, 1555 E. 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511.
