Patricia L. Coates

Patricia L. Coates, formerly of New York City, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026. She was born in Erie, PA on February 14, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents; Woodrow (Red) and Sally Coates, two brothers; William and James Coates, one nephew Carl W. Coates, and her furry angels; Sheba Marie, Loveylicious, and so many more cats which she loved so very much. She is survived by her most beloved and only child, Kimberly Coates (Los Angeles, CA); one sister-in-law Kathleen Coates; her nieces and nephews: James S. Coates (Kelly and daughter, Cailey), and Karen R. Torres (Julian and daughter, Caroline, and son, Justin), and several cousins.

Patricia was a 1967 graduate of Strong Vincent High School, Patricia was an employee at Erie Insurance Exchange from 1967 through 1980, at which time she moved to Aurora, CO. Prior to her retirement, Patricia had been the Vice President of Administration and Government Contracts at Geneva Worldwide, Inc., an interpreting and translation company in Manhattan, NY.

Private services were conducted by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
