Ronald Robert Ahrens
Ronald Robert Ahrens was born on October 23, 1942 and went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2026. He was the son of the late Arthur F. and Olga Yazembiak Ahrens.
Ron was a 1960 graduate of Lawrence Park H.S. and upon graduation, he joined the Navy and served on the USS Charles S. Sperry during the Cuban Missile Embargo as the lead Sonar Technician.
Ron attended Penn State Behrend and launched his life-time career in sales.
He never played a golf course he didn’t like. He also enjoyed playing cards; Texas Hold’em was his favorite. Ron enjoyed gardening and political debates.
He is survived by the love of his life, Emeline A. Langowski Ahrens, three sons: Mark Ahrens of Clarkson, Michigan, Michael Ahrens of Hamilton, OH, and Kevin Carnes of Fredericksburg, VA.
He is also survived by three grandchildren: Megan, Hannah, and John Ahrens. He leaves behind a younger brother, Robert Ahrens (Leslie) of Coats, NC, his nephew, Nathan Ahrens of Daytona Beach, FL, one niece Suzanne Breeden, and two great nieces: Peyton and Carter Breeden.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie, PA 16506 on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 3 pm until the time of the Funeral Prayer Service at 6 pm. Private interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie Humane Society, 2407 Zimmerly Rd., Erie, PA 16506 or to the Charity of One’s choice.
