Elmer C. Green

Elmer C. Green, age 90, of Millcreek Twp., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 11, 2026. He was born on February 20, 1936 in Lincolnville, PA, the son of the late Sydney F. and Ila Titus Green.

He was employed at McCrillis Farm Supply, E D Farrell, and the FAC Food Pantry.

He was a faithful member of First Alliance Church where he volunteered on countless mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. He helped with the church’s refurbishing of hospital equipment for the needy, he was a member of the church’s Mercy Team, and he would volunteer his time and talents whenever the church needed volunteers.

He loved to read, he loved music and singing, and restoring garage sale treasures.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Joanne and one brother, James.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years Janice Straub Green, his children: Amy, Brian, Alan, Remlee (Brad), his step children: Vera, Michael, Andrew (Natasha), two sisters; Mona, Marilyn, three brothers; Alan, Stanley, Larry, and ten grandchildren: Jason, Angelique, Braden, Devyn, Aveline, Fion, Jonathan, David, Anthony, and Samuel.

Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the First Alliance Church, 2929 Zimmerly Road, Erie, PA 16506 from 10 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 am. Private Interment. The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. handled all arrangements.

The family would like to extend their loving thanks to the Sarah Reed Senior Living Center and the Asera Care Hospice team.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Alliance Church, Second Harvest Food Bank, or to the Erie City Mission.
