Viktor Kanarskiy

Viktor Kanarskiy, aged 58, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, in Erie, Pennsylvania. He was welcomed home to Heaven by his parents, Dmitriy and Anastasiya Kanarskiy, and his brother, Pyotr Kanarskiy. Viktor was born on March 31, 1968, in Chișinău, Moldova. He is survived by his wife, Yelena Kanarskaya; his siblings, Vera Atamanskiy, Nadya Skaya, Semyon Kanarski, Vladimir Kanarskiy, Sergey Kanarskiy, Lyuba Taylor, Olga Kolesnik, Anna Kanarskaya, Irina Kanarskaya, and Yuliya Kozhokaru; his children, Tatiana Osenniy, Jennifer Yavny, Aileen Battles, and Michael Kanarskiy; and his grandchildren, Alice Osenniy, Alek Osenniy, Bella Osenniy, Melody Yavny, Jesse Yavny, and Aliyah Yavny.

Viktor and Yelena immigrated to the United States from Moldova on March 9, 1993, where they began their new lives together. He worked endlessly to provide for his family, loved being around people, and never passed up the chance for a little friendly competition, especially when sports were involved. He had a way of bringing energy wherever he went, and the memories he created with those he loved will be treasured for years to come.

Viktor was a faithful husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and someone whose presence brought laughter, encouragement, and strength. His unwavering faith in Jesus Christ remained steadfast until the very end. He lived with confidence in God's promises, and his enduring faith inspired and encouraged everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully express.

Even in our grief, we hold tightly to the hope found in Jesus Christ. Because Viktor placed his faith in Christ, we know that death is not the end of his story. While our hearts are broken today, we look forward to the day we will see him again. That hope gives us peace in the midst of sorrow. Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
