Nancy Catherine Lynch
Nancy Catherine Lynch passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the age of 93. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania on September 2, 1932, Nancy lived in Erie all her life, devoutly Catholic, family oriented, and carried those early lessons throughout her life.
Over the years, she built a life centered on family, faith, work, and service within the church. Nancy worked for Holiday Inn South as well as Millcreek School District until her retirement. Nancy was known for her joy in life itself and said so daily with the words, “Life is Good”. Her hobby was her devotion to daily mass at St. Julia Church and church activities.
She leaves behind two living children, Mary Pat Lynch and Thomas Lynch with his wife Barb. Surviving grandchildren: Anthony R. Stefanelli (Anita), Elise M. VanDamia, Roman A. Stefanelli (Allie), great grandchildren: Emily Stefanelli, Dante Stefanelli, Sienna Vandamia, Milan Stefanelli, Mateo Vandamia, and great- great grandchildren: Brinlee Jones, Bradley Jones, Baron Dingess, Laelle Dingess, Raphael Stefanelli, and her good friend, Ann Miller. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Clair Volmen Lynch and Alfred Lynch, brothers; Jim Lynch and Jack Lynch, sisters: Patricia Darrow, Sally Smith, and Clair Tirak. Her daughter Anette Lynch Shaller preceded her also.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Calvary Cemetery’s Mauseleum at 11:00 AM for the commital service. The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettaniia Rd is handling all arrangements. Nancy’s legacy of love of church and devotion to her faith will continue in the lives of all who loved her.
