Brian Matthew Caggiano

Brian M. Caggiano, age 26, of Erie, died at his residence on Monday, April 7, 2008 following an extended 4-year battle with malignant melanoma (cancer caused by the sun). He was born in Erie on July 4, 1981, the son of Victor and Bonnie Caggiano.

He graduated from Central High School in 1999. He was a former cook at Pittsburgh Inn and also worked at Sterling Technology until his disability. He was involved in Bay City Football, church basketball, boys baseball, pool league, and enjoyed spending time with his boys and friends.

Brian is survived by his two sons, Vincent Anthony and Dominic Orlando Caggiano, who were the love of his life, his parents, Vic and Bonnie, and his sister, Stacey Caggiano of Pittsburgh, PA. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Nanette Caggiano of Ridgway, PA, his good friend and mother of his two sons, Alisa Orsini, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rudy Caggiano and maternal grandparents, William and Sara Platt. Brian will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.

riends may call on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Church, 7300 Grubb Rd. McKean, PA 16426. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory.
