Obituary of Alene Gloth

Alene Gloth, 92 years young, went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2015 in Waterford, MI. She was born in Erie, PA where she grew up and graduated from Academy High School. She was married 54 years to Charles Gloth who went to Heaven in 2010. She was a member of the Church of the Covenant in Erie. During her life she worked at Champion Dish Washing Machine Company, she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and she was an active member of the Republican Party. Her passions included feeding her birds every day, working in her many gardens, and she loved her ice cream (boy did she!). Alene was an outgoing person who loved a good conversation. She enjoyed the big band music of the 1940's and 1950's. Alene devoted her life to her husband and raising her two sons. She is survived by her son Randy Gloth, daughter-in-law Candace and granddaughter Amanda of Waterford, MI, and son Barry Gloth, daughter-in-law Beverly and grandson Kyler of Redondo Beach, CA, and nieces Mrs. David (Bonnie) Tullio and Mrs. Ray (Patti) Massing of Erie, PA. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie, PA. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 5 until 8 p.m. and are invited there on Thursday at 10 a.m. for the Funeral Service. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
