Obituary of Michael Jaskiewicz

Michael "Mike" J. Jaskiewicz, age 48, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 after an unexpected brief illness at UPMC-Hamot. He was born on October 15, 1966 in Erie, the son of Thomas S. and Ruth Orr Jaskiewicz of Erie. He was employed at Steris, GE, and Parker Hannifin (Parker Autoclave Engineers). Mike was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, the Sons of Lake Erie, and Gem City Gun Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golfing, watching auto racing, and watching the Erie Otters. Besides his parents, Mike is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Jo-Ann Krupski Jaskiewicz, three sisters; Debbie Hodack (Adam) of North East, PA, Cheryl Dubach (Fred) of Ashtabula, OH, Denise Jaskiewicz of Erie, one brother Kevin Jaskiewicz of Erie, his mother-in-law, Winifred Krupski of Saegertown, two sisters-in-law, Elaine Laniewicz (Richard) of Millcreek, Marlene Yarnall (John) of Millcreek, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He will be deeply missed by his wife, family and friends, and his dog Chloe, and his cats Toby and Jake. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are invited there on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. for prayers followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 2401 West 38th Street at 10:00 a.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sons of Lake Erie, PO Box 3605, Erie, PA 16508.
