Obituary of Anne Patasky

Anne Patasky, 90, long time resident of Erie passed away May 17, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 9, 1924, daughter of the late Benedict and Alberta (Petroff) Lawrence. She graduated John Adams High School and in her earlier years worked as a hairdresser in both New York City and Erie. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother. Her family will remember her for her Sunday dinners and her appreciation of "her" beloved opera singer, Mario Lanza. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; 2 brothers, Clifford Lawrence and John Lawrence; and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her son, Mike Patasky and Sally; and daughter, Cori Fischer; grandchildren Steve Patasky and Julie; Jessica Fischer; Andrea Fischer; Christine Fischer and Kyle. She is also survived by 3 great-grandsons, Nate Patasky; Brandon Hanson and Isaiah Johnson. No calling hours will be observed and burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas -Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. In lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice.
