Obituary of Leonid Neboga

Leonid Ivanovich Neboga's heart made its last beat on Sunday, June 14, 2015, while in his car near the grave of his Mom, on the 40th day after her death. Leonid was born on November 14, 1958 in Kiev, Ukraine to the family of the late Ivan Vasilyevich and Nadezhda Pavlovna Neboga. After graduating high school in Kiev, Leonid worked as a photographer until he resettled in the United States in 1992. During these last years, he worked as a Quality Inspector for Berry Plastics in Erie, where he received the Diamond Award and chosen as an employee of the year for his achievements, extraordinary and creative work. Prior to Berry, he worked in similar positions with The Plastek Group and Career Concepts. Leonid was fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian. He enjoyed photography, history, nature and loved animals. Leonid had a great memory and sense of humor. He enjoyed cars and was a safe & defensive driver. He enjoyed cooking and had his own unique recipes for vegetarian dishes and fish. Leonid knew the various secrets of spices and was recognized as a coffee guru by his family & friends. He was always in the center of all family reunions, where he brought humor and joy He is survived by his loving sisters: Lyubov, Vera, and Valentina and his brothers: Yuriy and Sergey and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Leonid will be greatly missed by his loving family and dear friends. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday, June 19th from 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 10 a.m. Private interment, Laurel Hill Cemetery.
