John Paul Heater, life-long resident of Erie County, PA, died unexpectedly on September 21, 2015 at the age of 54.
John Paul was born in Erie on, September 15, 1961 to James Robert Heater and Mary Francis Gallagher. Survived by his mother; his siblings, Kathleen Waller, Robert M. Heater, Heidi Blakeslee, Mary Foulk and Nancy Haibach; his children, Jeremy Heater, Brittany Higgins and Zach Heater; his grandchildren; Caleb and Haley. As well as his Aunt Patricia Gallagher and Uncle James Gallagher and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A farmer at heart with the motto no farms no food, some of his best memories were when he was working on his grandparent’s dairy farm. Later in life he worked as a handyman, building or fixing just about anything you needed. He loved his family with all his heart and his children and grandchildren meant everything to him.
Paul liked to keep busy but when relaxing you would find him listening to talk radio, working on the daily newspaper crossword, playing cards, fishing or surrounded by friends and family talking the day away. He touched the hearts of many and will truly be missed.
Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., today, Thursday, September 24, 2015. A time of sharing will be held at 2:00 p.m.
