Obituary of Stephen Coulson

Stephen “Dave” Coulson, age 67, of Erie passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on March 12, 1948 in Coatesville, PA, the son of the late Paul F. and Mary M. Pugh Coulson. He was employed at FMC for thirty-four years until his retirement. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Carl Neff American Legion Post 571. Stephen was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed fishing, card playing, and coin collecting. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Coulson, his sister, Joan Dempsey, sister-in-law, Florence Ulrich, and brother-in-law, James Ulrich. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years Patricia A. Ulrich Coulson, two daughters; Tonya Coulson of Erie and Heather Layton (Brian) of Erie, one son, David P. Coulson of Erie, five grandchildren: Joshua Coulson, Ashleigh Coulson, Zachary Layton, Ryleigh Coulson, Jared Coulson, great-grandson, Nicholas Parr, and four brothers: Donald, Ronald, Robert, and John Coulson. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Monday at 11:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service conducted by the Rev. Gene Kennett. Interment Erie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
