Susann Comitz Kishel, age 82, of Waterford, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 17, 1933, in Phillipsburg, PA, the daughter of the late Michaela and Susan Messick Comitz. Susann retired from Johnson Control in 1995. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 285 of Waterford and the Millcreek American Legion Post 773. She was active on several bowling leagues. Susann was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph F. Kishel whom she married on October 28, 1953. She is survived by three daughters: Kathy Wurst (Ron), Audrey Jefferson (Lonnie), Susan Santia (Ron), five grandchildren: Kody and Kelsey Wurst, Weston Jefferson (Ramona), Travis Jefferson (Tiffany), Brian Reitz (April), four great-grandchildren: Miley, Madison and Carter Reitz and Paisley Rae Jefferson, a close companion Charles “Dune” Harrington, and further survived by Mary Ann Lyons of VA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Margaret Gira, Madeline Kennelley, Elizabeth Ochs, four brothers: Steve, Nick, Michael, and Eugene. A private celebration of Susann’s life will be held for family only on December 13, 2015. Private interment Waterford Cemetery. Arrangements are being held by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Erie Regional Home Health Care and Hospice, 2564 Village Common Drive, Erie, PA 16506.
