Elizabeth Denise (Andre) Strand, age 91, of Edinboro, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 31, 2015 with her family by her side. Elizabeth was born on January 14, 1924; a dearly loved wife of 64 years, a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, who left behind a legacy of love, caring, understanding, and wisdom for all who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Suzanna, her husband Arthur P., her brothers; George and Nicholas, and her sister Anne Fedorko.
Elizabeth is loved by her children: Suanne Elizabeth (Punky) Strand-Ward, James Arthur and MaryAnne Strand, Lindajean Elizabeth Strand, Darcy Elizabeth and Jeff Karickhoff, her grandchildren: Katie and Jim Ramey, Sara Strand and Ryan Campa, Jessie Strand, Jimmy and Erin Strand, Gustauve Ward, (Gus’ father, Tom Ward), Joshua Karickhoff and Shenann Rupp, Jonathan Karickhoff, Christopher Karickhoff, her great-grandchildren: Kasey and Jason Ramey, her nephew Peter J. and Mary Lou Fedorko, and her niece Maryanne Corridan. We wish to thank LIFE of NW PA for their help and support. Per Elizabeth’s request, no calling hours were observed. Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. handled all arrangements.
