Obituary of Ronald Paul Michalak

Ronald Paul Michalak, age 73, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 after a brave battle with cancer at UPMC – Hamot surrounded by his daughters; Cindy and Renee and grandchildren Peggy and Nathan. He was born in Erie on January 7, 1943, the son of the late Paul and Eleanor Ross Michalak. He was employed at Chippers and was very well liked by all their patrons. He enjoyed the beach, going for walks with his friend, LaVerne, fishing, horse racing, antique car shows, and spending time with his friends and grandchildren. He was a real people person and was loved by many. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents Ted and Velia Milusewski, two sons and one daughter; Ronald Paul Michalak, Jr., Brian Anthony Michalak and his twin sister Nadine Marie Michalak. He is survived by three daughters; Cynthia Nadine Dziuba of Warren, PA, Renee Cecelia Walmsley-Maines (Thomas) of California, PA, Corrina Burton of Ocala, FL, one sister Lorraine Draszkiewicz (Ronald) of Erie, one brother Paul Michalak (Sandy) of Erie, ten grandchildren: Nathan Bauman (Alicia), Peggy Sproveri (Joe), Gary Bauman, Jr. (Brittanny), Howard T. Walmsley, Jr. (Christina), Brandon L. Walmsley (Meredith), Johnathan T. Maines, Lucy R. Maines, Tara Garren Bryant, Amber Garren, and Trisha Garren, and twelve great-grandchildren. Friends may attend a Memorial Service at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
